DRIVER'S LICENCE
All drivers should hold a valid driver's licence and be at least 21 years of age.

A current acceptable overseas, New Zealand or International licence is required from all intending drivers.

At the Manager's discretion, a holder of a licence for less than five years is acceptable

but may incur a higher insurance excess.

RENTAL DURATION
Each days rate is calculated on a 24 hour basis, or part there of. Customers that return vehicles late are subject to a fee which is calculated at 1/5 of the daily rate up to five hours and a full day thereafter.

PAYMENT
Payment is to be made at commencement of hire by either cash, travellers' cheques or credit card.

TAX
Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 12.5% is included in all daily hire prices.

VEHICLE INSURANCE
Vehicle insurance is included in the daily rate, and is subject to an excess of NZ$1,000 including local taxes for drivers aged 25 and over (windscreen insurance is not included). For drivers aged 21 to 24 the excess is $1,500 including taxes. Also, for single vehicle accidents the excess is $2,000.

COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER
The hirer can reduce the excess by paying a Collision Damage Waiver (C.D.W) as follows:

SILVER COVER - For drivers aged 25 and over the excess can be lowered

down to $100 including taxes
Less than 3 days = $20 per day
More than 4 days = $12 per day
For drivers aged 21 to 24 the excess can be lowered down to $250 including taxes
Under the Silver Cover the excess on Single Vehicle accidents remains at $2,000.

GOLD COVER - For drivers aged 25 and over the excess can be lowered down to $100 including taxes,

which includes Single Vehicle Accidents and Windscreen Damage = $15 per day
For drivers aged 21 to 24 the excess can be lowered down to $250 including taxes, which includes Single

Vehicle Accidents and Windscreen Damage.
Please Note: the Gold cover isn't available on hires between 1 and 3 days.
 

BOND
A bond is required for all hires. You will be asked to sign a separate security bond
in the form of a Credit Card imprint, or give a cash deposit.
This bond is held by ACE RENTALS and is not banked. It is our guarantee that
the vehicle will be returned on time and in the condition that it was hired.

EARLY RETURNS
The daily rate on any discounted or special hires may be recalculated at rack rates.

ONE WAY HIRES
Available between all branches, minimum hire days apply. Repositioning fees may apply.

CHILD AND BABY SEATS
Child seats are now compulsory on New Zealand roads (under 5) and may be hired from our branches. Please order at time of reservation stating age of child so correct size may be booked. All Child Seats are Subject to Availability.
