DEPOSITS
Credit cards are the preferred form of deposit although cash
deposits can be accepted by
prior arrangement - please contact the office for more details.
AGE OF DRIVERS
The minimum age is 21 years of age and over to a maximum age of
80 years old.
Drivers aged 21 - 24 years old do incur a higher insurance
liability.
BABY SEATS
A small number of baby seats and booster chairs available for
hire with the vehicle free of
charge. If you require a seat please make sure that you inform one
of the staff
when booking your vehicle so as to guarantee supply.
ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
All vehicles are covered by RACQ breakdown service provided that
the fault is not driver related.
If you have locked the keys in the car, have a flat tyre, run out of
fuel or leave the lights on and RACQ
are called out then an additional fee will be charged to the hirer
for this service.
ADDITIONAL DRIVERS
There is no fee for additional drivers as long as they meet the
requirements -
up to 3 extra drivers
can be added but we must sight their licences.
FUEL
All vehicles are full of fuel and must be returned full and a
receipt provided to show that
the vehicle was filled up in the local area. If a vehicle is not
returned full then a fee
will be charged to cover the cost of refuelling.
LATE FEE
Vehicle hires are calculated on a 24 hour basis. ie: 1 day hire
is 7.30 am 26/01/07 to 7.30 am 27/01/07.
Extra hours are charged at 20% per hour and after 5 hours an extra
day is charged.
INSURANCE
All vehicles come with basic insurance which is $1500.00 if you
have an accident.
This can be reduced by accepting an option called Collision Damage
Waiver as details below;
Cars: Reduce excess to $350 for $12.00 per day.
.Convertibles and 4x4's: Reduce Excess from $2000 to $500 for $15.00
per day.
KILOMETRES & OTHER CONDITIONS
All car come with unlimited kilometres however we do have
boundaries. For 2wd cars the boundaries are north to Cape
Tribulation, south to Airlie Beach and west to the tablelands.
4x4 boundaries are Laura to the north ,Airlie beach to the south and
Georgetown to the west.
