MINIMUM RENTAL PERIODS

The standard minimum hire periods are as follows & they do change over the high season periods:-
Minimum hire 3 days cars
Minimum hire 5 days campas

We do not charge one way fees, however we do have minimum hire periods

which vary depending on the availability etc.
AKL - CHC/ZQN hires (southbound hires)
Minimum hire 7 days over low season for cars
Minimum hire 14 days over low season for campas
Minimum hire 21 days over high season (1 November - 28 February) for campas
Minimum hire 21 days over high season (1 November - 28 February) for cars

PAYMENT
Full payment is required prior to dispatch off vehicle.
Please note that an additional surcharge of 2% applies if payment is being made on

Visa or Mastercard and 4% applies is payment is being made on Amex

ONE-WAY HIRES
Please note that on one-way hires a minimum period may apply.

RENTAL DURATION
24 hours on time of pick-up. There is a 1 hour grace period, if the car is over 1 hour late a full day is charged. Payment is to be made at the commencement of the hire by with either

cash/ NZD traveller’s cheques or credit card.

EARLY RETURNS
There are no refunds for early returns. Returning a hired vehicle early may incur a penalty equivalent

to 1 days hire. The daily rate on any discounted or special hires may be recalculated at rack rates.

ONE-WAY HIRES
Available between all branches, minimum hire days apply.

CHILD AND BABY SEAT
Child seats are now compulsory on New Zealand roads (for children under 5 years of age).

These may be hired from our offices. These need to be ordered at the time of reservation

stating the age and weight of the child so the correct size will be booked.

DAYS OF OPERATION
Please note that Jucy Rentals Auckland, Auckland Airport, Christchurch and Queenstown

are all closed on Christmas Day. Pick up and drop offs on this day are not possible.

AFTER HOURS PICK UP AND DROP OFFS
After hours pick up and drop offs can be arranged through our reservations team.

For all after hours pick up and drop offs there is a $30.00 administration fee that applies.

Please note that after hours pick ups and drop offs cannot be done from our

Queenstown or Auckland City branches.
All office are open between 8am & 5pm for pick up and drop offs.

CANCELLATIONS
If a booking is cancelled within the 5 day period before the start of the hire there is no refund of the booking deposit (20% of hire). If the booking is cancelled outside this period there is a full refund of the deposit paid.

AGE RESTRICTIONS
Drivers must be 18 years of age. A medical certificate is required for driver over the age of 75.

CHANGE OF DROP-OFF DESTINATION
If the hirer wishes to change the drop-off destination after the rental has commenced,

they must first obtain authorisation from the Reservations Centre in Auckland.

Subject to the change being approved, an additional charge of up to NZ$500 will apply.

RENTAL EXTENSION
If the hirer wishes to extend the rental whilst on hire, they must first obtain authorisation from the Reservations Centre in Auckland. This is subject to availability. The extra cost of an extended

rental must be paid by credit card over the telephone on confirmation of the rental extension.
Failure to obtain authorisation will result in a daily fee of NZ$150 in addition to the daily rate.

ROAD RESTRICTIONS
Motorhomes & cars can only be driven on sealed/bitumen or well-maintained roads.

No vehicle shall be driven on Skippers Road (Queenstown), Ninety Mile Beach (Northland),

Ball Hut Road (Mt. Cook), North of Colville Township (Coromandel Peninsula)

and Tapu-Coroglen Road (Coromandel Peninsula).
Jucy reserves the right at its sole discretion to restrict vehicle movements

in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions.

VEHICLE CATEGORY
Vehicles cannot be requested by make or model, only by vehicle category.

VOLUNTARY DOWNGRADE
Should the hirer decide to take a smaller vehicle than booked they will not be entitled to any refund.

or modifications and/or upgrades to the vehicle design made by the manufacturer.

LATE PICK UP INFORMATION
It is possible for clients to collect vehicles after hours. Below is the information that

the client will need to know. There is a cost to collect a vehicle after hours which is NZ$30.00.

To return a vehicle after hours in CHC the fee is NZ$30.00 – no charge for Auckland airport early drop offs.

When a client makes an after hours booking we email them through a late pick up form which they must complete & fax back to us prior to their pick up date. It is important for the client to be aware

that if we do not receive this competed form back we cannot leave the vehicle.

AUCKLAND AIRPORT VEHICLE PICK UP AND DROP OFF OUTSIDE OFFICE HOURS (5.00pm - 8.00am)
Late pickups are available on request for car rentals only (no campas can be collected or returned

after hours). You must complete the pre-registration form and this needs to be faxed to us 48hrs prior to dispatch. The keys are collected from Visitor Information in the International Arrivals Terminal

and the car is parked in the main car park. A NZ$30 charge applies for this service and you will also

need to pay for car parking. The car is moved to the airport at approx 3pm and parking is approx

NZ$3 per hour (maximum charge NZ$24).

CHRISTCHURCH AIRPORT VEHICLE PICK UP AND DROP OFF OUTSIDE OFFICE HOURS (5.00pm - 8.00am)
Late pickups are available on request. You must complete a pre-registration form and this needs

to be faxed to us at least 48hrs prior to dispatch. The car is left at the Russley Hotel ( 73 Roydvale Ave ),

a 5min drive from the terminal. On arrival at Christchurch Airport please call the Russley Hotel

for a transfer (dail 25 from the freephone boards by Visitor Information or freephone 0800 735 888).

The keys are collected from reception at the Russley Hotel. A NZ$30 charge applies for this service.
For all after hours returns, you need to return the car to the Russley Hotel and leave the keys at reception. The Russley Hotel transfers every 15mins back to the Airport. A NZ$30 charge applies for this service payable at time of pick up.
