Agreement

Renters are required to complete & sign a “Gem Rent-A-Car” rental agreement

at the commencement of the rental.

Licences
Drivers must be fully licenced & over 21years of age.

Vehicle Use
Vehicles must be driven on sealed roads only. Penalties apply for unauthorised usage.

Payment
Credit Card details are held for the duration of the hire against the safe return of the car

and the corresponding liability as per the rental agreement.

(We are no longer able to accept Amex or Diners).

Payment of rental may be made using: credit card (see above), cash, travellers cheque ($AUD), EFTPOS.

Included
Daily rates quoted include all government taxes & charges, unlimited kms travel

(north to Cape Tribulation, south to Tully & west to Dimbulah), maps, itinerary suggestions, insurance

(with standard excess), delivery to & collection from your accommodation in Cairns & Northern Beaches.

Insurance Excess
Renter’s insurance excess liability varies with age as follows:
Drivers 21 – 25 years of age or over 70 years of age excess is $2500 non-reducible.
Drivers over 25 – 70 years of age excess is $1500. In the case of multi vehicle accidents,

this is reducible to $350 for a small daily fee.

Child Seats
Baby seats & booster seats available upon request.

Fuel
Fuel is on a full –to-full basis.

Relocations
Relocation fees may apply depending on desired drop-off location.
