Sydney, Australia’s largest and most popular city is renowned throughout the world. The Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House are icons that represent Australia internationally and are as well known as the koala or the kangaroo emblem.

Sydney offers visitors all the excitement of a harbour city. Darling Harbour and Circular Quay, provide a gateway to the waterways that are the mouth of the Parramatta River. With the city’s skyline in the backdrop, views don’t get much better than this, unless of course you take in the Sydney Tower and the panoramic views it offers.

In additional to the many tourists that Sydney hosts each year, many visitors come for specific events, such as the start of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, cricket at the Sydney Cricket Ground and of course the many special, one-off attractions in one of the many entertainment venues.

Sydney Surrounds

Moving away from the city there is also much to see. Just a few hours inland, the Blue Mountains attract many visitors and are the start of New South Wales winter play ground and snow fields.

The north coast has many beautiful beaches and has attracted a lot of the population to the area. For those not wishing to travel as far, a ferry to Manly will allow you to experience the western rim of the Pacific Ocean and offers plenty of shopping and dining in the Manly Esplanade.

To the South, the famous Bondi Beach provides a little ocean swell for the keen surfer as well a great location to sit and eat ice cream on a warm summers day.
